Talks of Victory

  • The Missing Ingredient: Love

“But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”

    -Luke 6:27-28

Love, the most powerful weapon ever given to man!

  • True Power

“The world has indoctrinated us into believing that power comes from the approval of others in the sense of being a “dominant” figure in the world. Someone for the world to aww at. To be tough in the ways of being argumentative or forceful to get your way.

The sad truth of the matter is that this is not true power at all. Rather, it is a lack of self-appreciation. And the remedy becomes the approval of the outside world so that you may feel powerful.

True power comes from within. True power may be gained in two questions posed in every situation that we face:

  1. Did I try my best to do the right thing in this situation?

  2. Can I honestly say to myself that the answer to question 1 is, yes?

If the answer is yes and yes….true power is possessed.”

  • Self-Deception is Mental Suicide

“Lying to another is bad! But lying to one’s self is the worst thing that could be done. It brings about a fog, it darkens reality. Lying to one’s self brings about self-deception in every aspect of life. Lying to one’s self only weakens the mental, can never strengthen it. No matter what the truth is, good or bad, facing it is a means of mental strengthening. Lying to yourself and not facing it, is mental suicide.”

  • There is Nothing More Pure and Powerful than the Truth

“Truth is concrete, truth is clarity, truth is absolute, truth is binding, truth is everlasting.

Truth… is power!”

  • What’s the Difference?

“The only difference between one human and the other are the choices made.”

  • "Do you Chase your Demons, or do your Demons Chase you?"

“Something to understand about life, things happen. Everyone goes through things that try to affect their minds negatively. Most of these things start at childhood since the mind is so fragile at that point.

These can be a lot of things. Family things, friendship things, relationship things. Things that we did not want to happen and did not expect to happen, which tries to stick with us as we age.

If we don't battle these things, they become our demons for life, no matter what age you are. You're fifty years old, but these things from being seventeen are holding you captive mentally!

You beat these demons by never avoiding them! You beat these demons by being willing to fight them. Not shying away from them and acting like they don't exist. That's living in a lie. And you can never beat anything by living in a lie.

You attack these things head on. You say, this situation happened back then, it made me feel like this now, I now must do whatever action necessary to battle the past, so that I can be my best version today!

Make sure you chase your demons! Don't ever let your demons chase you!”

•"Running Through Brick Walls"

“The weak see a brick wall and think, “I can’t get through this. It’s impossible” While the strong see a brick wall and say, “I’m going to get through this, I know there’s a way. I just have to find it.

Such is life.”
