Motive of Victory
Founder: John Mesadieu
John Mesadieu has his origins from Haiti, but calls Naples, Florida home. Graduating from Golden Gate High School in 2006, John was part of a dominant team that made it to the Class 4 - Region 3 semifinals, losing 61-45 to the eventual State Champions, Sarasota Booker High School.
Following high school, John signed with North Greenville University, a Division II school, to continue his basketball career. After transferring to Ave Maria University to be closer to home, John graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history.
As a native of Naples Florida, CEO and Founder John Mesadieu has dedicated his life to enriching the lives of youth in the community. With many years of experience involved in health and fitness coupled with being involved in the athletic industry, John has seen the value in recognizing individual potential, versus a one size fits all approach. He believes everyone is destined for greatness; you just need to unlock it. His vast experience coaching and developing youth at all ages has allowed John to recognize guiding values as the foundation of Win Streak Mentoring and Athletics™.
The Philosophy
Win Streak was founded on the principle that there is no exact science in the development of the mind of youth but rather identifying and unlocking individual potential and motivations through foundational and proven techniques, is key to the enrichment of the body and mind.
The focus of Win Streak is teaching the willingness to fight! It is Win Streak’s belief that, with numbers rising in depression, anxiety and thoughts of suicide, one of the main issues is that there has been a decline in the willingness and know how to fight and face challenges. Win Streak’s desire is to teach the youth how to handle challenging situations, especially through a mental approach. This dramatically increases the youth’s chances of being successful in a world full of tough times.
At Win Streak, the willingness to fight is developed through the utilization of athletics to simulate life trials. While mentorship is used as the guidance for the youth to get through said simulated trials.
Win Streak believes that athletics and life challenges mirror each other well, and that mentorship through athletics, represents a great parenting technique which tremendously aides in the development and the strengthening of the minds of youth.
The Why
Win Streak’s belief is that if there is a current or foreseeable problem that is recognized, then the problem must be addressed in hopes that it gets fixed. There is an ongoing climb in numbers in mental disorders amongst the youth in the United States. Win Streak’s hope is to play its part in this battle by attacking it head on. Win Streak adopts the “take care of home first” approach in hopes that if the numbers of mental health disorders are combatted and lessened in Naples, Florida, then the possibility of spreading positive results to the rest of the world is more attainable.
Win Streak values athletics and mentorship. But, although athletics is a big part of Win Streak, mentorship to strengthen the minds of the youth is the true desire and end goal.
